My Dressing Gown Memory Bear is created using the soft fabric of a cherished dressing gown, carefully designed to look as though the bear is wearing it.
The main body of the bear is made from the dressing gown material itself, with the original trim and belt thoughtfully added during construction to give the appearance of the bear wrapped in the gown. The result is a beautifully comforting keepsake that feels instantly familiar.
Each bear is handmade by me, one at a time, using the dressing gown you provide and treated with care and respect throughout the process.

This design:
Uses the original dressing gown fabric throughout
Incorporates the trim into the finished bear
Adds the belt detail to create the appearance of the bear wearing the gown
Preserves recognisable elements wherever possible
Because dressing gown fabrics are often soft and textured, this style creates a particularly comforting keepsake.
Clothing Requirements.
To create a Dressing Gown Memory Bear:
One adult-sized dressing gown is usually sufficient
Very thick, heavily padded, or quilted gowns may not be suitable
If you’re unsure whether your gown will work, please contact me before ordering and I’ll happily advise.
All items should be clean and in reasonable condition.
Every dressing gown memory bear is:
Individually handmade
Carefully constructed to preserve meaningful features
Completely unique
Small variations in fabric placement and detailing are part of the handmade nature of the item and add to its character.
A Gentle Note.
If there is a particular detail of the dressing gown you would especially like included — such as trim, pocket fabric, or belt placement — please mention this when ordering and I will always do my best to incorporate it where possible.
All clothing should be clean and in reasonable condition. Signs of wear are normal and often add to the character of the finished bear.
Personalisation (Optional)
Personalisation is available as an optional extra.
Embroidered foot pads
Up to 8 characters per line
Maximum of 3 lines per foot pad
£5 per embroidered foot pad
This is entirely optional and can be added if it feels right for you.
Ordering & Payment.
Payment secures a place in my making schedule once your clothing is received
A deposit option is available, with payments made against your memory bear
Once full payment has been completed, you can send your clothing items to me
If you choose to pay a deposit, I’ll let you know how to pay your balance and when to send your items.
Turnaround Time.
Approx. 4 weeks from receiving your clothing
If you require a memory bear sooner, priority orders may be available for an additional fee. Please contact me before ordering to discuss availability.
Sending your clothing?
Once your order has been placed and payment made you will receive an email with instruction of where to send your clothing. I strongly recommend all clothing to be sent tracked and insured.
Unused Fabric/Items
If there is any unused clothing or fabric after your bear has been made, I’m happy to return it with your finished bear. Please let me know at the time of ordering if you would like unused items returned.
Important Information.
Each memory bear is handmade, so small variations in size, fabric placement, and stitching are part of the process
Memory bears are keepsake items and not toys
They are not intended for play and are not suitable for under 14 year olds.

Return & Refund Policy
Returns & refunds
Because memory bears are bespoke items made using your own clothing, refunds are handled as follows:
Once work has started on your memory bear, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
If you wish to cancel your order before sending your items, please get in touch and include your order number. A full refund can be arranged at this stage.
If your items have been received but work has not yet started, a refund can be processed minus a 25% handling fee. This fee covers administration and preparation costs.
Postage costs for returning your items are not included and will need to be covered separately before your items are sent back to you.
If you have any questions about cancellations or refunds before ordering, please don’t hesitate to contact me — I’m always happy to clarify anything in advance.
I take great care to ensure every memory bear is made to a high standard. If, for any reason, your item arrives in an unsatisfactory condition due to workmanship, please get in touch within 14 days of receiving your order so I can review the issue and work with you to put things right.
Shipping Info
Shipping information.
All clothing should be sent to me using a tracked and insured postal service. This helps ensure your items arrive safely and can be tracked during transit.
Once your memory bear is complete, it will be returned to you via Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Tracked 48, depending on the option selected at checkout. You’ll receive tracking details once your order has been dispatched.
