I make every memory bear one at a time, working carefully with each item of clothing and treating it with respect. This is a slow, thoughtful process — not mass production — and no two bears are ever the same.

If you’d like to include a name, date, or small personalised detail, optional extras are available. These can be added if they feel right for you and are never essential to the finished bear.
If you’re not ready to send clothing just yet, or you’re purchasing on behalf of someone else, gift vouchers are available. They allow the recipient to decide when the time feels right to create their memory bear.

What types of clothing can be used to make a memory bear?
Most types of clothing can be used, including shirts, jumpers, baby clothes, pyjamas, uniforms, and even soft furnishings such as blankets. When making memory bears from clothing, fabrics in reasonable condition work best. Very thin, heavily worn, or damaged items may affect the finish, but I’m always happy to advise before you send anything. I dont work with wedding dress, fur or very thick fabrics.
How many items of clothing are needed?
The number of clothing items needed depends on the size of memory bear you choose. Each product listing includes clear guidance on what’s required, and I’ll confirm this with you before you post anything. If you’re unsure, you can always ask for advice first.
Can memory bears be made from baby clothes?
Yes, memory bears are often made using baby clothes. Babygrows, sleepsuits, and soft garments work particularly well and create a lovely way to preserve early memories once clothing has been outgrown.
Can I mix different items of clothing?
Yes, you can combine different clothing items in one bear. This is a popular choice when creating memory bears from clothing that represent different moments or stages, such as mixing baby clothes with a blanket or combining several garments from one person.
What condition does the clothing need to be in?
Clothing should be clean and in reasonable condition. Small marks, embroidery, or signs of wear are usually fine and often add character. Fabrics that are extremely worn or fragile may limit what can be used, but I’ll always let you know what’s possible.
Are memory bears made from clothing toys?
No. Memory bears from clothing are keepsake items and are not intended as toys. They are designed to be treasured, displayed, and handled gently rather than played with. due to the nature of the fabrics used they can't be CE tested so are not suitable for persons under 14 years of age.
Will unused clothing be returned?
If there is leftover fabric after your memory bear has been made, I’m happy to return it with your finished bear. If you have a preference, just let me know when you place your order.
What if I’m not sure whether my clothing will work?
That’s completely normal. If you’re unsure, you can contact me before ordering and I’ll happily talk through your options. I want you to feel confident and comfortable before sending anything away.
