These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed through this website. By placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below.

Nature of products
All memory bears and keepsake items are:

handmade to order
-
bespoke and personalised
-
created using clothing or fabrics supplied by the customer
Because each item is made using unique materials, no two memory bears will ever be identical.
Ordering process
When you place an order:
-
You are reserving a space in my making schedule
-
I will confirm what items of clothing are required
-
You will then post your clothing to me
Please do not send clothing until your order has been confirmed.
Customer-supplied materials
By sending clothing or fabrics to me, you confirm that:
-
you are the legal owner of the items, or have permission to use them
-
the items are clean and in reasonable condition
I take great care when handling all clothing, but due to the nature of sewing and cutting fabric:
-
slight wear, marks, or imperfections may be visible in the finished bear
-
very delicate or heavily worn fabrics may limit what can be used
I am not responsible for issues caused by the condition of the supplied materials.
Design & appearance
Memory bears are handmade items and small variations in:

colour
-
fabric placement
-
size
-
stitching
are part of the nature of bespoke work.
Product photographs are examples only and not exact representations of the finished item.
Turnaround times
Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on:

workload
-
complexity of the order
-
condition of materials supplied
I will always aim to complete orders within the timeframe stated at the time of ordering and will contact you if there are any delays.
Personalisation
Personalised details such as names, dates, or embroidery are added based on the information you provide.
Please check all spelling and details carefully before confirming your order.
I cannot be held responsible for errors where incorrect information has been supplied.
Returns & cancellations
Because memory bears are bespoke and made to order, they are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.
Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before clothing has been received

Once clothing has been received or work has begun, cancellation is no longer possible
Returns
Returns are only accepted if:

the item is faulty due to workmanship
-
the issue is reported within 14 days of receipt
I cannot accept returns due to:

personal preference
-
emotional dissatisfaction
-
expected handmade variations
Loss or damage of materials
Every reasonable care is taken when handling customer-supplied materials.
However, I cannot accept liability for:
-
loss or damage caused by postal services
-
issues arising from fragile, aged, or worn fabrics
I strongly recommend using tracked and insured postage when sending clothing.
Keepsake items – not toys
Memory bears are keepsake items and are not toys.
They are not suitable for young children and are not CE tested.
They are intended to be:

displayed
-
held gently
-
treasured
Pricing & payment
All prices are shown in GBP (£).
Payment is required in full before work begins.
I reserve the right to update prices at any time, but prices confirmed at the time of ordering will be honoured.
Intellectual property
All website content, photographs, text, and designs remain the property of Deborah Jameson and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
Privacy & data protection
Personal data is handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy, which explains how your information is stored and used in line with UK GDPR.
Changes to these terms
I reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The version in force at the time of your order will apply.
