Layered Memory Bear

My Layered Memory Bear is created to look as though it is wearing the original clothing, with carefully constructed details such as shirt collars, button plackets, and layered fabric sections built into the design of the bear itself.
Rather than simply using fabric panels, I thoughtfully incorporate features of the garment into the construction, giving the finished bear a beautifully realistic and distinctive appearance.
Each layered bear is handmade by me, one at a time, using clothing you provide, and treated with the same care and respect as all memory bears.
Layered bears are designed to highlight recognisable clothing details such as:
Shirt collars
Button fronts
Pocket features
Layered fabric sections
Distinctive garment elements
This style works particularly well with shirts, blouses, uniforms, or clothing with meaningful structural details you would like preserved.
Because of the additional construction involved, each layered bear takes extra time and careful planning to ensure the details sit naturally and securely within the design.

Approx. 12 inches in height and 9 inches wide
This size works well for both adult and baby clothing and is ideal if you’re looking for a keepsake that feels substantial without being oversized.
Clothing Requirements
For best results, I recommend:
1–2 structured adult garments (such as shirts or blouses), or
Baby clothing with defined features such as collars or layered sections
Very thick or heavy fabrics are not recommended, as they can affect shaping and finish.
If you’re unsure whether your clothing is suitable for a layered design, please contact me before ordering and I’ll happily advise.
All clothing should be clean and in reasonable condition. Signs of wear are normal and often add to the character of the finished bear.
Personalisation (Optional)
Personalisation is available as an optional extra.
Embroidered foot pads
Up to 8 characters per line
Maximum of 3 lines per foot pad
£5 per embroidered foot pad
This is entirely optional and can be added if it feels right for you.
Ordering & Payment.
Payment secures a place in my making schedule once your clothing is received
A deposit option is available, with payments made against your memory bear
Once full payment has been completed, you can send your clothing items to me
If you choose to pay a deposit, I’ll let you know how to pay your balance and when to send your items.
Turnaround Time.
Approx. 2-4 weeks from receiving your clothing
If you require a memory bear sooner, priority orders may be available for an additional fee. Please contact me before ordering to discuss availability.
Sending your clothing?
Once your order has been placed and payment made you will receive an email with instruction of where to send your clothing. I strongly recommend all clothing to be sent tracked and insured.
Unused Fabric/Items
If there is any unused clothing or fabric after your bear has been made, I’m happy to return it with your finished bear. Please let me know at the time of ordering if you would like unused items returned.
Important Information.
Each memory bear is handmade, so small variations in size, fabric placement, and stitching are part of the process
Memory bears are keepsake items and not toys
They are not intended for play and are not suitable for under 14 year olds.

Return & Refund Policy
Returns & refunds
Because memory bears are bespoke items made using your own clothing, refunds are handled as follows:
Once work has started on your memory bear, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
If you wish to cancel your order before sending your items, please get in touch and include your order number. A full refund can be arranged at this stage.
If your items have been received but work has not yet started, a refund can be processed minus a 25% handling fee. This fee covers administration and preparation costs.
Postage costs for returning your items are not included and will need to be covered separately before your items are sent back to you.
If you have any questions about cancellations or refunds before ordering, please don’t hesitate to contact me — I’m always happy to clarify anything in advance.
I take great care to ensure every memory bear is made to a high standard. If, for any reason, your item arrives in an unsatisfactory condition due to workmanship, please get in touch within 14 days of receiving your order so I can review the issue and work with you to put things right.
Shipping Info
Shipping information.
All clothing should be sent to me using a tracked and insured postal service. This helps ensure your items arrive safely and can be tracked during transit.
Once your memory bear is complete, it will be returned to you via Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Tracked 48, depending on the option selected at checkout. You’ll receive tracking details once your order has been dispatched.
