A memory dog from clothing is a unique handmade keepsake created from fabrics that hold special memories.
Just like memory bears, these keepsake dogs are made using clothing or meaningful fabrics you provide. The garments are carefully transformed into a soft keepsake dog that preserves those memories in a form that can be treasured for years to come.
Each memory dog is individually handmade, making every keepsake completely unique.
For some people, a memory dog feels like the perfect alternative to a traditional memory bear.
The shape and design create a characterful keepsake while still preserving the special fabrics and memories contained within the clothing used.
Memory dogs can be created using a wide range of fabrics including:
clothing from a loved one or pet
baby clothes
blankets
soft fabrics connected to meaningful memories
Finished Size of your memory keepsake dog.
Approx. 12 inches in height and 9 inches wide
This size works well for both adult and baby clothing and is ideal if you’re looking for a keepsake that feels substantial without being oversized.
Clothing requirements.
To create one Standard Memory Dog, I recommend:
Large pet blanket, jacket or coat
2-3 small pet blankets, coats or jackets
1–2 adult-sized clothing items, or
6–8 baby clothes
10–12 newborn-sized baby clothes
Most fabrics work well, however very thick or heavy fabrics are not recommended, as they can affect the finish of the keepsake dog. If you’re unsure whether your items are suitable, I’m always happy to advise before you send anything.
All clothing should be clean and in reasonable condition. Signs of wear are normal and often add to the character of the finished keepsake.
Personalisation (Optional)
Personalisation is available as an optional extra.
Embroidered foot pads
Up to 8 characters per line
Maximum of 3 lines per foot pad
£5 per embroidered foot pad
This is entirely optional and can be added if it feels right for you.
Ordering & Payment.
Payment secures a place in my making schedule once your clothing is received
A deposit option is available, with payments made against your memory dog please contact me to arrange this option.
Once full payment has been completed, you can send your clothing items to me
Turnaround Time.
Approx. 2-4 weeks from receiving your clothing
If you require a memory dog sooner, priority orders may be available for an additional fee. Please contact me before ordering to discuss availability.
Sending your clothing?
Once your order has been placed and payment made you will receive an email with instruction of where to send your clothing. I strongly recommend all clothing to be sent tracked and insured.
Unused Fabric/Items
If there is any unused clothing or fabric after your keepsake has been made, I’m happy to return it with your finished dog. Please let me know at the time of ordering if you would like unused items returned.
Important Information.
Each memory dog is handmade, so small variations in size, fabric placement, and stitching are part of the process
Memory dogs are keepsake items and not toys
They are not intended for play and are not suitable for under 14 year olds.

Return & Refund Policy
Returns & refunds
Because memory bears are bespoke items made using your own clothing, refunds are handled as follows:
Once work has started on your memory bear, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
If you wish to cancel your order before sending your items, please get in touch and include your order number. A full refund can be arranged at this stage.
If your items have been received but work has not yet started, a refund can be processed minus a 25% handling fee. This fee covers administration and preparation costs.
Postage costs for returning your items are not included and will need to be covered separately before your items are sent back to you.
If you have any questions about cancellations or refunds before ordering, please don’t hesitate to contact me — I’m always happy to clarify anything in advance.
I take great care to ensure every memory bear is made to a high standard. If, for any reason, your item arrives in an unsatisfactory condition due to workmanship, please get in touch within 14 days of receiving your order so I can review the issue and work with you to put things right.
Shipping Info
Shipping information.
All clothing should be sent to me using a tracked and insured postal service. This helps ensure your items arrive safely and can be tracked during transit.
Once your memory bear is complete, it will be returned to you via Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Tracked 48, depending on the option selected at checkout. You’ll receive tracking details once your order has been dispatched.
